 To create Start Your Recovery, we brought together leading clinicians and experts in substance use prevention treatment and recovery from nonprofit, academic, and government institutions–including the Jed Foundation, Education Development Center, Faces and Voices of Recovery, American Association of Suicidology, and many more. Today, we help connect ~20% of the United States to treatment for substance use disorder.

StartYourRecovery.org is a groundbreaking website that offers people who are dealing with substance use challenges a single source of reputable, objective information about signs, symptoms, conditions, and treatment options. Through this online resource, individuals can hear stories from people with similar life experiences, discover the answers they need for recognizing and dealing with substance misuse, and locate support. The goal is to offer people with substance use challenges a resource that is presented in a user-friendly format and in language that’s easy to understand.
